Please see the XRS*.DOC file for information on these settings!
Details on the possible settings of each of the new 5.0+
parameters and their effect are in the CONFIG.NEW file
BE SURE TO READ NEWIN510.DOC FOR CONFIGURATIONS OPTIONS
AVAILABLE ONLY IN THE LATEST XRS 5.10 VERSION!!
* * * * * * * * This file MUST be renamed to CONFIG.XRS if you are a new
* * NOTICE! * * user - otherwise, it is a guide to current parameters in
* * * * * * * * the new version which may be new to you - see CONFIG.NEW
Also note - if it is "commented out" here, it likely does not need to be
set unless you wish to alter the normal behavior of XRS. All of the
options you see which are "Yes"/"No" type switches mean that the opposite
of the selection is the default. Many other parmeters have defaults, or
should never need setting. See documentation for full details before you
change anything! (XRS510.DOC plus NEWIN510.DOC which includes changes in
the 5.01, 5.02, 5.03, 5.04 up to 5.10 versions) If you are a 'rookie' XRS
user, you probably want to download the latest XRConfig program - it's an
all-GUI full-screen (and callable from inside XRS!) configuration program
that takes the mystery out of the over 100 possible parameters. At the
release date, "XRCFG104.ZIP" was current. Even XRS veterans may fine it
useful to keep your CONFIG.XRS file up-to-date! To call XRConfig inside
XRS itself (not all changes will take place when until reload XRS!) simply
hit <F4><F4> (i.e. <F4> again after popping up the normal configuration
list in XRS itself). As long as XRS can find XRCONFIG.EXE and XRCONFIG.DAT
somewhere - in the current directory or on the PATH, it will start it up.
(you can tell if it does 'see' them - otherwise it won't prompt you for it)
